Having been a doctor for almost 20 years, Dr Rakhee believes that prevention is better than cure and that a healthy lifestyle is the foundation to better health for our children. While juggling work and family, she remains a strong advocate for childhood vaccinations and early childhood nutrition. She also strongly believes and supports parents in Respectful Parenting as a way of life. She has successfully completed her training in “Identification and Management of Feeding Difficulties” (IMFeD) Malaysia, received her Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Nutrition from Boston University and completed her Early Nutrition Specialist certification from the University of Munich.
She is the resident Consultant Paediatrician, Head of Paediatric Department and elected member of the Medical Advisory board in Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare. She is also an executive committee member of the Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA), spearheading and supporting the health and welfare of all Malaysian children.
Dr Rakhee was recently elected as the Paediatric Ambassador for an international online learning platform called Docquity. She is a regular speaker at conferences, workshops and webinars in educating other healthcare professionals in the topic of paediatrics. She has also written many child related articles for various local newspapers, magazines and has been interviewed by several local radio stations.
Dr Rakhee is a proud mother of four and a food buff – constantly looking for new vegetarian options everywhere she goes. She has a passion for travelling and loves anything to do with the beach.
